The president and the secretary of state discussed such demonstrations throughout the Mideast as part of their press conference the day after the attack. They did discuss their intent to resist all terrorist attacks against the United States but without particular reference to the Benghazi attack. The presidents press secretary then emphasized the idea that the Benghazi attack grew out of a spontaneous reaction to the video in his daily press conferences. The ambassador to the United Nations went on five television networks to emphasize this point of view on Sunday, five days after the attack. Only after the correct nature of the attack became more and more clear to the general public, did the administrations narrative begin to change. How did this misleading story of the Benghazi attack become the focus of the administrations information outreach to the American public? That is the question that must be answered. It must not be brushed aside. If it was deliberate, which many indications seem to show that it was, then the administration willfully set out to lie to the American people. If this is true, their actions are more serious than the actions of President Nixon with respect to Watergate and his subsequent resignation or to the actions of President Clinton concerning personal issues that led to his impeachment by the House of Representatives. Those actions related to the cover-up of a petty crime or to trying to hide personal immoral conduct. These actions concerning Benghazi have implications to the national security of the country as a whole.
What do you think of this? Is it too little too late? Do you think it makes a difference?
Nearly two years after U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was murdered by a gang of Mexican thugs in the desert night of southeastern Arizona, the federal government has finally secured a conviction. Yesterday, Manuel Osorio-Arellanes, plead guilty to the murder but denied being the shooter. He pled guilty in exchange for having the death penalty taken off the table during the sentencing portion of the trial, set for January. Osorio-Arellanes faces life in prison as his maximum punishment. Is this conviction too little, too late from an Obama Administration that appears to be up to their ears in the Fast and Furious program that led to Terry’s murder and its subsequent cover-up?
Thoughts on this? Do you agree he should be added? Why or why not?
For those who question the Electoral timing of this, you may not be aware it has been in the works since 2010, and has less to do with the Obama Administration which initially was lukewarm to the proposal and more to do with the preferences of several multi-national corporations that expect to profit from the increased tourism the modification is supposed to attract. Several renderings for the monument have been submitted thus far and there has been no final decision as to the portraiture that will ultimately be used.
Yea.. surely he didn’t realize this would happen!? :/ Are you looking forward to paying all these taxes?!
All told, next year, total taxes will go to almost 50% for the middle class; the very group that the president says he wants to protect. That means 50 cents out of every dollar earned has to go to the government. Half of everything will go to an entity that didn’t earn that money, and shouldn’t be entitled to all that dough.
Unbelievable. You think most Americans agree that’s fair?
Hughley said his son and two of Myasias friends were also in the house when a SWAT team of about 15 agents, fully clad in riot gear, forcibly entered the split-level home around 6 a.m.As Hughley was emerging from his lower-level bedroom, he heard agents yelling, "Shes got a gun, shes got a gun," he told Bensen.Hughley said his daughter was wearing only a sleep shirt when the agent fired, barely missing her head.
Seriously? Have you have enough yet? The people deserve the truth about Libya!
If Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid didn’t make it clear enough to Republicans that he opposes a select committee to investigate the Benghazi attacks, he said it again Friday: No way.
In letters to key Republican senators, Reid put his foot down — again — on the idea of a special panel to dig into the Sept. 11 assault that killed U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens and three diplomatic aides in Libya. A select committee would need a floor vote to be created, and Reid said he wouldn’t permit it.

From a workshop on whether Jesus’ salvation would apply to aliens to determining the color of the feathers on a 150-million-year-old creature deemed the Earth’s first bird, the Pentagon has spent money on some questionable projects, according to Sen. Tom Coburn.
At a time when many Republicans argue the Defense Department cannot afford new spending cuts, Mr. Coburn, Congress’s top waste-watcher, released a report Thursday arguing that in fact the Pentagon is awash in billions of dollars of non-security spending that should be cut.
